Magickal & Medicinal Benefits of Calendula
Calendula AKA Pot Marigold is an edible annual. It's a member of the Asteraceae family. Although it is referred to pot marigold and both are in the Asteraceae family, they are not the same.
The leaves and petals of the calendula plant are edible. The petals range from a bright yellow to orange color. The leaves are bitter and can be served in a fresh salad and the petals can be steeped into a tea.
The petals of the calendula flower may also be infused in a carrier oil. The infused oil can then be used to create nourishing lotions, body butters, balms, and more.
